Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ AristoMedia) - International country music promoter and benefit organizer Judy Seale was recognized recently for her global country music contributions when she was awarded the International Country
Music Ambassador Award and Best International Country
Music Personality Award.
The International Country Music Day Organization officially announced Seale as an ambassador at this year's International Country Music Day, held Sept. 17 in Uruguay. The ICMDO (www.icmday.org) is a nonprofit endeavor created in 2003 by the Country Music Association of Spain in order to bring together all artists, musicians, and country music fans all over the world, as well as to promote country music worldwide.
"It means so much to me because it comes from associations, media, and true country music fans who understand the importance of promoting this wonderful music around the world," said Seale.
Additionally, the Greek Country Music Association awarded Seale the 2008 Best International Country Music Personality on July 12. Prominent European radio DJ Nikos Garavelas (www.garavelas.gr), who will produce a new radio program called "The International Hour" for Nashville radio station WSM, presented Seale with the award at the 6th Annual Country Music Festival in Athens, Greece.
Since founding Judy Seale International in 2001 (www.judysealeinternational.com), Seale has produced more than 200 international country music tours and festivals and was named the CMA International Talent Buyer/Promoter of the Year in 2003. She is responsible for producing festivals in 12 different countries this year, including Germany, Japan, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Ireland and Mexico.
"Judy Seale has made it possible for country music to cross all borders of this planet," said country legend Charlie Daniels. "She really has become an ambassador to the world, and the country music industry (and the music industry as a whole) couldn't have a better spokesperson."
Seale has also remained actively involved with numerous charities and fundraiser events, including the recent launch of "Stars for Stripes," (www.starsforstripes.com) a nonprofit organization that provides entertainment to internationally deployed American military forces and informs the general public on various aspects of U. S. military history and operations. Since 2003, Stars for Stripes has produced more than 35 tours to Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea and other foreign countries.
