Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Jamber Records) - Jamber Records recording artist
Amber Rhodes was cast to make a special guest appearance on YouTube's reality show American Rag's "Ragged Road."
Amber Rhodes was tapped to act as the official Music City guide in Nashville wherein the "Ragged Road" cast members embarked on a 5,000-mile journey in pursuit of fame and fortune in the music business. The excursion took Janelle, Rian, Laura, Derek and Jessica to some of the nation's best-known music scenes where they made introductions with renowned entertainment industry veterans, participated in songwriting sessions and business functions, and performed live at a variety of venues.
The unscripted, 18-day junket took the group to twelve of the nation's music capitols, making stops in Seattle, San Fran, LA, Austin, New Orleans, Miami, Atlanta, Nashville, Detroit, Cleveland, and New York with Nashville being the eighth stop.
"I received a phone call from a friend of mine about the show and when he described the concept and purpose of the web series, I knew I wanted to be involved," Amber said. "This was an amazing and rare opportunity for these individuals and I wanted to help make the most of their experience."
The pentagon of hopefuls joined Amber in a writing session where they were introduced Marv Green. The group rounded out their visit seeing the sites, enjoying the Nashville nightlife on downtown Broadway and an impromptu on-stage performance.
"I took them to The Station Inn to see a brilliant songwriter perform, Thom Shepherd, who is the co-writer of Craig Morgan's hit, 'Red Neck Yacht Club.' Thom graciously invited them to join him on stage; they sang with him and his band," Rhodes added. "The whole night made for a remarkable memory for all of us. Through their expressions and enthusiasm, I got to experience the awe of Nashville all over again. I am really excited to see the episode!"
"Ragged Road" is scheduled to appear on YouTube.com beginning Monday, September 29, 2008. (www.youtube.com/raggedroad) Amber will appear on "Ragged Road" during the segments to be aired between October 13-22.
