New York, NY. (Top 40 Charts/ Damian Lazarus Official Website) - Like a twisted pied piper of techno Damian Lazarus will lead a grisly charge through the heart of North America's top dance floors in October and November 2008 with a reincarnated Devil Night Tour.
Lazarus will showcase his warped, futuristic, demonic vision of a discotheque to the masses on Devil Night, treating North American clubbers to six weeks and thirteen ghoulish servings of the most cutting edge underground electronic music, handpicked by one of techno's foremost tastemakers. This devilish tour will also include a Halloween stop at Avalon Hollywood, coinciding with his new residency, and a Mexico City date that falls on the infamous celebration of Dia de los Muertos.
The Devil Night Tour paves the way for the highly-anticipated release of Damian Lazarus' debut artist album in early 2009, and the release of his debut artist single later this year. Fans have already been treated to glimpses of Damian Lazarus' forward-thinking productions with the exclusive premier of his original track 'Broken Dreams' on September's LAZPOD Nine. After two years hard-at-work work in the studio, listeners can be sure that Damian Lazarus' debut artist work will continue to push the musical boundaries he is known for breaking, and cement his reputation as one of electronic music's most radical visionaries.
The Devil Night Tour also sees Damian Lazarus returning to Mexico City, where he first played in 2005. He'll continue to serve as a musical pioneer in one of his favorite countries, pushing his blend of futuristic, twisted and unearthly techno across three Devil Night Mexico shows. Devil Night will also coincide with Damian Lazarus' relocation to Los Angeles and the kick-off of new residency at Avalon Hollywood.
"Last year, the devils and demons came out to play across the USA and joined me for some super fun, momentous sessions. I can't wait to come back now and play with people's minds once again," said Damian Lazarus. "I've been falling in love with America and will mark this tour with a move from London to LA, where I'm looking forward to experiencing first hand the birth of the new underground, electronic renaissance that has ignited all over the country."
Additionally in September Damian Lazarus' eagerly anticipated Sci-Fi-Lo-Fi compilation CD 'Night Of The Dark Machines' will be released via Soma Records. From the outset the compilation demonstrates Damian Lazarus' signature DJ style, building, in his own words, with, 'organic sounding, lush, quite trippy tracks and forwards from there into the unknown...A misty nightmare where creatures of the dark wrap themselves lovingly around your ears and curl up inside your mind."
Throughout the Devil Night tour fans will be able to download the mix for a special rate of $5 exclusively through Beatport
