Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Soles4Souls) - On September 30, 2008, Grammy Award Winning Christian Artist, Amy Grant, partnered with Soles4Souls, the international charity dedicated to providing free footwear to those in desperate need in the United States and around the world, to distribute shoes and perform for more than 350 homeless people for The Bridge Ministry in Nashville, Tennessee.

Grant performed newly written music as well as her classic song "El Shaddai." Sonya Isaacs, a member of popular Gaither recording artist The Isaacs, provided harmony vocals.

Bridge ministry founder Candy Christmas commented: "Amy Grant has a heart of gold. It is wonderful to see someone use their notoriety to help relieve the suffering of the homeless. Amy's service to the Nashville community is well known and this is another example of her giving spirit."

The Bridge Ministry feeds, hands out clothing and has a church service under the bridge for homeless people living in Nashville. The ministry was founded by veteran gospel singer Candy Hemphill Christmas in November 2004 out of a desire to reach the homeless and less fortunate people of Nashville, TN. The ministry is a faith-based, multi-denominational band of dedicated volunteers meet under the Jefferson Street Bridge on Tuesday nights and rotate Thursday nights in other locations throughout metro Nashville to feed, clothe and bring the message of Jesus Christ to the homeless. A team of more than 75 volunteers work each week bagging groceries, packing trucks, setting up meetings, preparing meals and gathering clothes to aid over 350 homeless individuals and families every Tuesday and Thursday night.
