Nashville, TN. (Capitol Records) - Country star Trace Adkins has filmed a music video for his latest hit single, "Muddy Water" with actor Stephen Baldwin appearing as the video's lead character. Although Baldwin has starred in dozens of big-screen films including 8 Seconds, The Usual Suspects, Lost Treasure, and more than 75 other roles, "Muddy Water" marks the first music video for the award-winning actor.

Baldwin, who met Adkins while taping "The Celebrity Apprentice," stars as a man on a journey back home for his baptism where he reconnects with longtime friend, Adkins.

When it came time to cast the feature role, Adkins felt Baldwin would capture the inspirational story better than anybody.

"I know Stephen's story, and I just thought it would be a song he could identify with," Adkins says. "It's cool to have a real pro come in here. With Stephen, you can do it all in one take. He was perfect."

Award-winning director Trey Fanjoy approached the video as a short-film, using cinematic imagery and live sound to capture the emotional story. The video was shot on location at a church and nearby river in Clarksville, TN.

"It's a beautiful song-the way its been written and performed," says Baldwin. " I think it's something that can really relate with a lot of people."

Adkins' latest Top 30 single continues to climb the chart and is the lead single from Trace Adkins X, his tenth album for Capitol Records Nashvile that hits stores November 25.
