NEW YORK (Roots Official Website) - The
Roots , who continually tour even when in between releases, will hit the road in February in support of their latest album, Phrenology, which is No 76 on the US albums chart. The first single from Phrenology, "Break You Off" featuring Musiq, is on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart.
The group is scheduled to kick off the tour on February 2 in Detroit, Michigan. Hopefully things will go smoothly, unlike the group's initial outing on the Area: One tour in 2001.
Group drummer and producer Guestlove shared that the group had some technical difficulties that time out. ["Probably the biggest monkey wrench of this particular tour is just the technical end of not really having a chance to iron out all the wrinkles of a digital soundboard and that type of thing," Questlove said. "We're kind of accustomed to certain equipment that we use. Other than that, it's very minor, you know?"
