Avril Lavigne has announced several of her first U.S. tour dates in support of her debut album, Let Go.
"I'm really excited because it's my first tour and I'm headlining," Lavigne said yesterday. "I'm also exited because we're going to be playing, like, every night."
The multiplatinum-selling artist's U.S. itinerary includes stops at the CSU Convocation Center in Cleveland, Ohio, on April 15 (on sale January 11)
- the Fair Park Coliseum in Dallas, Texas, on May 4 (on sale January 11)
- the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York, on May 13 (on sale January 11) and
- the Tsongas Arena in Lowell, Massachusetts, on May 15 (on sale January 18).
More tour dates will be announced shortly, and tickets for all dates will be available via ticketmaster.com.
Lavigne will kick off the overseas leg of the tour on January 23 in Singapore. Lavigne will visit Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, Germany, Italy, France, Ireland, and the U.K. before returning to the U.S. in late March to gear up for the stateside leg of her tour.
Avril Lavigne received Grammy nominations for song of the year and best female pop vocal performance for "Complicated," best female rock vocal performance for "Sk8er Boi," best pop vocal album for Let Go, and a nomination for best new artist.
