Marc Black will bring his rhythm section from Woodstock, NY to the Towne Crier on Friday, November 7. And Uncle Monk, a duet featuring Tommy Ramone of the Ramones will open the show! Marc was a featured artist at last year's Sundance Film Festival performing songs off his 'Stroke of Genius' CD. He also recently created international news with a youtube video of his musical confrontation with Martha Stewart as well as his video and song for Barack Obama...Step Up, America. In the words of Paul Winter, "His songs are great and his singing is superb." While playing in Memphis, Marc first heard Tommy Ramone's new duet, Uncle Monk. He fell in love with them and suggested they do a show together at the Towne Crier. David Mead from American Songwriter Magazine wrote, "Uncle Monk mines the thin golden vein connecting punk and bluegrass by stubbornly avoiding a mixture of the two." This evening at the Towne Crier will be down home and colorful. Online ticket are $20. $25 at the door.
