Raleigh, N.C. (Top40 Charts/ Jessi Hamilton Official Website) - After a four-year hiatus, Raleigh, NC singer/songwriter Jessi Hamilton is back with the release of her second album, Rebirth.

The album is composed of 12 originals written or co-written by Hamilton and an ethereal cover of "Amazing Grace." It is currently available at shows and will soon be available for online purchase in both digital and CD formats. Straying from the mainstream pop/rock songs on Hamilton's debut album, Rebirth leans towards the pop/folk genre with a blues edge, but still maintains the haunting melodies and rich harmonies found on Hamilton's first CD.

"This was an indie project," says Hamilton, "and the album was self-produced, recorded and performed. While the undertaking was a little daunting at first, it was a great opportunity for me to rediscover what I wanted to do musically. That's where the name of the album, Rebirth, came from."

Hamilton began playing the piano and singing at the age of four and started writing her own songs and recording at 14. At 18, she signed her first management contract, began performing with a band in Rochester, NY and released her debut album in 2004. Named by RockRGrl magazine as "one of the best independent female artists in the country," she has sung backup for Foreigner's lead singer, Lou Gramm, and has also been featured on numerous recordings. She was recently nominated for a Carolina Music Award.
