New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Blue Rodeo Official Website) - BLUE RODEO has released an exquisite DVD/CD documentary, BLUE ROAD just in time for Christmas, which gives their fans a rare look behind the curtain of one of Canada's favorite musical exports.

BLUE ROAD is captivating and entertaining, revealing unguarded moments as the band rehearses and jams on a number of unexpected cover songs like 'Are You Ready for the Country (Neil Young), at Greg Keelor's farm outside Toronto. The documentary, directed by renowned Toronto filmographer Chris Mills, also includes footage of the band on the road and backstage on their Small Miracles Tour.

Chapter 2 of the Blue Road DVD is warmly shot and gives a unique fan's perspective of the band's 10 song acoustic set recorded live at Massey Hall. Using footage from a number of 'bootlegged' sources the DVD documents a performance at Toronto's most venerable venue that had its roots during the launch of the album SMALL MIRACLES.

It all began on the morning of Monday, September 24, 2008 when the members of BLUE RODEO took to the streets of Toronto for a series of unannounced live performances to launch their latest studio album. This marked the first time the band had actually hit the street, bringing their music to the fans as opposed to the fans coming to them. The day ended up having a profound effect on the band. 'Playing unplugged versions of some of their most popular material invigorated them and they eventually took the concept with them on their subsequent national tour, opening their shows with a half-hour stripped down set.

The CD that accompanies the package includes the audio portion of BLUE RODEO'S live Massey Hall acoustic set. The DVD also makes use of the multi-angle button available on most DVD controllers for the performance of their previously unreleased song "Losing You". This feature allows the viewer to choose whatever camera they want to watch the program from, ostensibly making them the editor.

2008 has proven to be a great year for BLUE RODEO. SMALL MIRACLES was certified gold in Canada, they were ranked as one of North America's highest grossing tours, and they won three Juno Awards (Group of the Year, Adult Alternative Album of the Year and Video of the Year - 'C'Mon'.)

In early 2009, BLUE RODEO will head to the U.S for a West Coast swing before heading back into the studio to make a new record - slated for a Fall 2009 release.
