Soulja Boy Tellem's short but sweet journey to superstardom. Souljaboytellem.com crashed the Platinum level with over 1,000,000 units sold.
But the trend-setting Grammy nominated single "
Crank That (Soulja Boy)" launched 450,000,000 combined YouTube and MySpace views, 5,000,000 ringtone sales, an instructional video on its dance craze, as well as too-many-to-mention animated cartoon tributes that included The Simpsons, Spongebob Squarepants, The
Chipmunks and scores more. In short, the world was taken by storm by the Batesville, Mississippi native.
