LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ CineMedia Promotions) - Lakeshore Records will release the soundtrack for LAST CHANCE HARVEY, available via iTunes, Amazon Digital, and in stores on December 16, 2008. Dickon Hinchliffe (Married Life, founding member of Tindersticks) composed the original score. The original soundtrack also features the songs "Mean Son of a Gun" by Kitty, Daisy & Lewis and "Where Do We Go" by Sandrine.

Dickon Hinchliffe was one of the founding members of the UK band Tindersticks. Called "the real magic core of the band", by The Guardian, Hinchliffe is a multi-instrumentalist for the group and contributes orchestrations. Tindersticks have released six albums and have achieved a large cult following in the UK and continental Europe. They produced the soundtracks for two films by the French director Claire Denis (Nenette et Boni and Trouble Every Day). In addition to his work with Tindersticks, Hinchliffe composed the music for the films Forty Shades of Blue, Keeping Mum, and Married Life.

Academy Award winners Dustin Hoffman (Rain Man) and Emma Thompson (Sense and Sensibility) reunite in LAST CHANCE HARVEY, a hopeful romance that celebrates new beginnings-at any age. New Yorker Harvey Shine (Dustin Hoffman) is on the verge of losing his dead-end job as a jingle writer. Warned by his boss (Richard Schiff) that he has just one more chance to deliver, Harvey goes to London for a weekend to attend his daughter's wedding but promises to be back on Monday morning to make an important meeting-or else.

Harvey arrives in London only to learn his daughter has chosen to have her stepfather (James Brolin) walk her down the aisle instead of him. Doing his best to hide his devastation, he leaves the wedding early, but misses his plane anyway. When he calls his boss to explain, he is fired on the spot.

Drowning his sorrows at the airport bar, Harvey strikes up a conversation with Kate (Emma Thompson), a slightly prickly, 40-something employee of the Office of National Statistics. Kate, whose life is limited to work, the occasional humiliating blind date and endless phone calls from her smothering mother (Eileen Atkins), is touched by Harvey, who finds himself energized by her intelligence and compassion.

Overture Films presents LAST CHANCE HARVEY opening in limited release on December 25, 2008 and opening nationwide on January 23, 2009. LAST CHANCE HARVEY original soundtrack on Lakeshore Records will be available via iTunes, Amazon Digital and in stores on December 16th.
