New York, NY. (Top 40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Eleni Mandell, whose new album 'Artificial Fire' Paste Magazine's Andy Whitman says 'comes fairly close to defining my notion of perfect music,' will take her ace band on the road for a string of national tour dates in March. With 'a sexy, intelligent singer and songwriter, a guy who wants to be a guitar god and a drummer who socks the hell out of his kit' (Paste), fans will be in for a rollicking show when Mandell comes through. After a January residency in her hometown of Los Angeles at the Hotel Cafe and the February 17 release of 'Artificial Fire' (Zedtone), Mandell will kick off her tour March 5 in New York City at Joe's Pub with more dates to be announced. 'Artificial Fire' is beginning to receive advanced praise, with Paste adding Mandell 'may be the best songwriter on discordant desire and heartache since Joni Mitchell,' and 'the interplay between Eleni and her band is reminiscent of Chrissie Hynde and early Pretenders.'
