LOS ANGELES, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Luck Media & Marketing) - Considering the successful run they've been on lately, Josh and The Empty Pockets may soon have to change their name. Since the quirky and compelling, high-energy Chicago-based four-piece pop/rock powerhouse (www.sonicbids.com/emptypockets, www.myspace.com/joshandtheemptypockets) played the Double Door - the 'best indie club in the city,' according to lead singer and guitarist Josh Solomon - in July, 2008, everything in their lives has been, well, pretty full.

Let's start with the AC radio airwaves, which have been filling quickly with spins of 'Fall Right Now,' the spirited first single from Under the Bed, the band's first album of original songs. The track recently shot up to No 11 on the FMQB AC40 chart and was in the Top 40 for seven weeks. In mid-February, a new radio campaign for the song begins aimed at the Top 100 Hot AC markets nationwide.

The Empty Pockets' 2008 double-sided holiday single 'Baby, It's Cold Outside/Baby, Please Come Home' met with similar success, reaching No 77 on the Mediabase chart and securing spins on Clear Channel stations everywhere from Syracuse to Milwaukee. TV is also full of plenty of Empty Pockets, as, incredibly, all ten of the tracks from Under the Bed were placed on Nickelodeon's highest-rated programs, 'iCarly,' 'Zoey 101' and, appropriately enough, 'Drake & Josh.'

Since their breakthrough performance at the Double Door, Josh and The Empty Pockets - which also includes bassist Nate Bellon, drummer Danny Rosenthal and newly added co-lead vocalist Erika Brett - have played many of The Windy City's coolest hotspots, from The Subterranean and The Kinetic Playground to Martyrs and The Elbow Room.

After a handful of shows in January throughout the Chicagoland area, they play at The Tonic Room in the city February 4 before going on a larger tour in March. Josh and the Empty Pockets are set to showcase that month at South By Southwest in Austin.
