New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Studio B) - Norway's melodic disco/electronica outfit Lindstrom will be playing at Studio B on Thursday, January 29th for a super rare US appearance by this reclusive disco auteur. Well known for his epic and ultra melodic disco, the opening track of Lindstrom's debut album, Where You Go I Go Too, clocks in at almost 29 minutes long. From the first layered drone to the undeniable forward momentum of chugging retro-guitar, the thought of disco is supplanted by self-composed narrative. He had been working on a multitude of tracks since the release of his debut compilation, It's A Feedelity Affair, but decided to use only three tracks, all epic in scope and ambition, for this album. 'I realized that working within 30 minute instead of five minute frames forced me to think very differently than what I was used to" explains Lindstrom. "When working on longer tracks, there's so much more time to develop different themes and to let them evolve. I wanted it to sound a bit dramatic, like a long journey. It's perfect for a long walk with headphones or when traveling by train or airplane.'
