LOS ANGELES (John Mayer Official Website) - John Mayer and the Counting Crows have announced plans to co-headline a summer tour. The exact dates and locations for the tour have yet to be determined. Additional supporting acts will be announced soon, according to Mayer's official website.

The Mayer/Crows news comes just a week after the Counting Crows issued tour dates for various college campuses in March and April. As for Mayer, the "No Such Thing" singer wrapped up his European tour on Thursday (February 13). His next public performance will be at the Grammy Awards on February 23.

On March 14, Mayer will perform at a fan-club-members-only gig in New York City. Mayer said that the numbers of fans who attend these private events has grown steadily. "It's kind of hit this exponential point with people coming to shows," Mayer said. "I used to play to, like, 200 people, and it's like, 'Next time, let's get 350.'
And now it's, like, we play to 350 and the next time, 'Let's get 1,200.' It's even beyond my capacity to ever imagine what it was going to be. You know, I remember being, like, 'One day I'm going to play for 500 people.' And it's, like, 'Man, now you play for four times that many people. How do you feel?'"
