SYDNEY, Australia (Silverchair Official Website) - Silverchair are to play their first concerts in the UK and Europe for four years.

The Australian rock trio, led by Natalie Imbruglia's fiance Daniel Johns, have confirmed one UK date at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire on June 9.
They will also play Berlin on May 30, and Hamburg on May 31.

More dates in France and Holland along with concerts in north America and Brazil are expected to be announced shortly.

Tickets for the London concert go on sale this Saturday, but fans of the band can order online on Friday via the band's official website www.chairpage.com.

Silverchair's new european tour dates:
June 2: The Paradiso, Amsterdam (on sale March 1)
June 3: Mutualite, Paris
June 6: Rock Am Ring Festival, Germany
June 7: Rock Im Park Festival, Germany

Last year the band's Diorama album topped the charts in their homeland where it went triple platinum.
Silverchair last June cancelled plans to play at the V2002 festivals because of Johns' health problems. The singer and guitarist had been diagnosed suffering from reactive arthritis earlier in 2002, but was told by doctors he could expect to make a full recovery.
