Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ UMG Records) - Sales are sweet, applause sweeter, but sweetest of all is the praise of your peers. That's what Universal South's Randy Houser is discovering as he tours America with various of his fellow country artists. Take his appearance earlier this week in Buffalo, New York.

Randy was playing an in-the-round session at the University of Buffalo's Center for the Arts with singer/songwriters Jack Ingram and Jason Michael Carroll. After Randy tore up the crowd with his incendiary 'My Kind Of Country,' a clearly bedazzled Ingram turned to him and gasped, 'Damn, dude! That was really, really good. I'm used to followin' folks who have 10 No. 1 singles, but now I gotta follow actual talent.'

Buffalo News critic Jeff Miers, who reported Ingram's reaction in his review of the show, hurrahed all three artists for their mastery of country music essentials but singled out Randy as having 'the firmest grasp of country's blues elements.'

Like Ingram, Carroll also had good things to say about Randy's music, at one point quipping, 'Randy, on behalf of Jack and I, we'd really like to thank you for the opportunity to be part of your show!'

By the time the show was over, every one of Randy's albums had sold out and the line for autographs was out the door.

This isn't the first time Houser has received praise from his peers. During a recent Grand Ole Opry performance, Vince Gill enjoyed Randy's performance and commented from the stage, "Randy is a great singer and a great songwriter and I have no doubt that great things are in his future."

During the week of Feb. 23-March 31 (check local listings), Randy will be spotlighted on the syndicated Inside Music Row show.
