New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Asheville, NC based Jar-e celebrate the release of 'Chicas Malas' (out now on Exotic Recordings) by playing a CD Release Party at NYC's Nublu March 2nd.

Jar-e's "intoxicatingly repeatable" (Stark Online) music invokes influences ranging from Manu Chao and Joao Gilberto to Motown greats like Stevie Wonder.

'Chicas Malas' was inspired after a journey that took frontman Jon Reid through Greece, Cuba and Britain. Reid's genre defying and irresistibly danceable music will fit perfectly with the Nublu scene, where groups from all over the world are known to bring some of the most vibrant and eclectic music to the East Village.
