Tracy Lawrence Introduces 'Up To Him'

Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Rocky Comfort Records) - With 17 No. 1's, more than 30 charted singles on the Billboard Hot Country Chart, 10 studio albums, five specialty records and more than eight million albums sold, platinum-selling country star Tracy Lawrence is poised to write the next chapter in his career. Rocky Comfort Records is pleased to present "Up To Him" from the inspirational country music compilation entitled THE ROCK recorded by Tracy Lawrence.

Lawrence is set to deliver his second CD from his own independent label entitled THE ROCK (produced by Lawrence & Julian King) in June. As an appropriate introduction to the premise and spirit behind the project, he is scheduled to release the first single, "Up To Him," to country and Christian radio on March 24, 2009. Written by David Kent & Kim Johnson, the single brings forth an assuring, unified message that could not come at a more appropriate time. "In the current political climate and in consideration of the overall mood of our country, 'Up To Him' is hopeful, positive and looks toward a brighter future," said Lawrence. With lyrics that are current, relatable and representative of every man and woman's feelings, the song is likely to strike a solid, harmonious chord. "It's the perfect introduction to the new CD; the emotional and musical tapestry will make it a 'connection' song that will appeal to all audiences," he added.

Consistent with Lawrence's all-American musical message, the release of "Up To Him" follows Lawrence's No. 1 friends-helping-friends anthem "Find Out Who Your Friends Are." The corresponding "Up To Him" music video will be filmed in the coming weeks.

Nine North will spearhead the national radio promotion campaign; Jerry Duncan Promotions will coordinate the Music Row and secondary radio promotion. The single will be made available digitally (via MPE) tomorrow, Tuesday, March 3, 2009.

In support of the new single Tracy is slated to perform before an audience of country radio programmers, air personalities and industry executives as the headliner of the Rocky Comfort Records/Nine North Showcase event to be held Thursday evening, March 5, 2009, at Rocketown during the CRS-40 activities in Nashville.
