New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - The Tragically Hip - the much-revered quintet known for their 'vigorous and often improvisational live shows' (WXPN) - will kick off their 11-city, 19-date tour May 7th at Philadelphia's Fillmore at Theatre of Living Arts and wrap June 17th at Seattle's Moore Theatre.

The band, of whom one pundit said 'If the Rolling Stones and REM were to have sex, the result would be a five-headed baby called The Tragically Hip,' are a national treasure in Canada and a favorite amongst music critics and fans for their stirring lyrics and powerful rock sounds. Led by the dynamic frontman and main songwriter Gordon Downie, the group has sold over 6 million albums worldwide, sold out concert stadiums across North America and Canada and retained a fiercely dedicated fan base in their 25+ years together.

The Tragically Hip's twelfth studio album 'We are the Same' is out April 7th on Rounder Records.
