Hey everyone, I'm Carrie Long and welcome to WeSeed's Pop n Stock, where pop culture and stock culture collide.
If you remember the 80s, then you definitely remember MC Hammer and his famous parachute pants. You know '2 Legit, 2 Legit 2 Quit'? Well, he's back, and he's out to join the incomparable Bret Michaels and Flavor Flav by nabbing his own reality TV show.
Who's gonna give it to him? We have A&E to thank here. The company is owned by both Disney (DIS) and General Electric (GE), and it's set to put the 46-year old hip-hopper on the tube. And you may have already caught Hammer's latest appearance on TV: he was in that cheesy Super Bowl commercial for Cash4Gold.com with Ed McMahon. Classy!
We're not sure how much sparkle Hammer's gold has, but if you think he's still got some life left in him, check out the companies behind the dance moves and chuck Disney and GE into your WeSeed PortfoliYOU.
And if you think Hammer actually offered up some sage wisdom to invest in some gold, check out gold stocks like Goldcorp (GG) and Royal Gold (RGLD) and make your words shine on their Weseed company pages.
To recap, today we talked about Disney (DIS), General Electric (GE), Goldcorp (GG), and Royal Gold (RGLD). I'm Carrie Long and that's it for today's Pop n Stock at WeSeed.com!
Now when are they going to do a show on the most underappreciated musician of the '80s, Vanilla Ice? He still rocks the mic in my heart like a vandal...
