LOS ANGELES (Eagles Fans Website) - The
Eagles have announced their "Farewell I" tour kicking off on May 9th in Richmond, VA. The band, consisting of
Glenn Frey, Don Henley,
Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, will be performing songs from their 30 year career including the top selling album of all time, Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975. Concerts West, an AEG Live Company, is the national promoter of the
Eagles "Farewell I" tour.
Fans who join the official Eagles Fan Club at, an online collaboration between the band and Yahoo!, have the opportunity to purchase advance premium concert tickets for the upcoming "Farewell I" tour prior to going on sale to the general public. Concert tickets for the Sunrise, Atlanta, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Philadelphia, and Boston concerts are currently available to Fan Club members. The general public ticket on-sale for these shows will be Monday, March 10th through Ticketmaster. Future on sales and corresponding Fan Club member pre-sales will be announced shortly.
The Eagles have sold more than 120 million albums worldwide, earning four #1 U.S. singles and four Grammy Awards. Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975, Hotel California, and Their Greatest Hits Volume 2 have sold 28, 16, and 11 million albums respectively. The Eagles were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
General public tickets will be available through Ticketmaster Charge-By-Phone lines, at all Ticketmaster retail ticket centers, via ticketmaster.com, and the venue Box Offices.
