Song By Knoxville, TN, Artist Used In Major Motion Picture

Knoxville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Kata & The Blaze Official Website) - When the feature film "Coyote County Loser" opens in theatre's across the country this summer, East Tennessee's own singer/songwriter Kata Hay will have her original song "Western Way" featured in the opening scene.
"Western Way", which Kata wrote and recorded when she was only 15 years old, was originally released on her album "Cowboys, Guitar's, and a Lil' Bit Of Swing" which peaked at number 5 on the Western Charts. Though she has received many awards, performed all over the world, and sang on national TV, this will mark the first time Kata has had a song used in a feature film.

The romantic comedy is centered around the desert inhabitants of Coyote County and their local talk radio stations K-RAP. "As soon as they told me the basic plot of the film I was in!", says Hay. "As a writer and performer you always hope you'll get to go to theatre and hear your song being played. I can't wait!"

Kata Hay is the lead singer/guitarist for the country rock band "Kata & The Blaze" (www.kataandtheblaze.com). Though only 22 she has been winning over fans and critics for the past 20 years. Kata burst onto the national scene in 1993 by becoming the youngest champion ever on Ed McMahon's "Star Search". She was named the AWA's "Rising Star of The Year" and shot to No 1 on the Western Music charts with her rendition of the Eddy Arnold hit "Cattle Call".
With all the extra attention from the movie and a new Kata & The Blaze release, "Remember That Summer", it is shaping up to be a very busy year for Kata. When asked about her busy schedule Kata said, "After performing over 700 shows in 2008, I believe I'm ready for anything 2009 has to offer!".
