LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts) - The L.A. County District Attorney has just charged Chris Brown with felony assault and making criminal threats, also a felony. The case is that Brown wants to avoid a trial at all costs because the picture of Rihanna taken one day after the incident - which has not been seen anywhere publicly - is unbelievable. Donald Etra, who is representing the 21-year-old Barbados native, said on Friday: "Rihanna would be required by law to testify if prosecutors subpoena her." Etra also said "Rihanna did not want a "no contact" order issued against Brown, but that she will report any violations of an order prohibiting the 19-year-old singer from threatening, harassing or harming his girlfriend. A court order grants her the authority to record any violations of the order. Rihanna (real name: Robyn Rihanna Fenty), wants the case over with quickly. She wants to get along with her life and career," he said. The judge asked Rihanna's attorney Donald Etra if there was a 'no-contact order' in place, to which Etra replied, 'Miss Fenty [Rihanna] does not request such an order.' A separate order, however, filed Thursday, states that Brown must not 'annoy, harass, molest, threaten or use force or violence against anyone,' until March 2012.
