New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Kiqstart Music) - Becoming one of only a handful of independent artists to headline the historic room, New York City's Kill the Alarm will be playing their next show at The Fillmore at Irving Plaza on March 28, 2009. Selling out a string of NYC shows, appearing on numerous TV shows, and becoming the top band in the video game JamLegend, Kill the Alarm continues to be a force in NY's rock scene. Lead singer/songwriter, Garen Gueyikian, has been blessed with not only the talent to write infections melodies but the vocal chops to back it up. Billboard Magazine took notice late last year and wrote "headed by impressive vocalist/songwriter Garen Gueyikian, Kill the Alarm has assembled a small army of fans in New York, enough to sell out the Bowery Ballroom twice this year". This show will be a special treat for KTA fans who are used to an almost constant touring schedule. Lately, Garen has been hiding out in his NYC apartment writing songs for the bands follow up to their debut album, Fire Away, which has sold over 5,000 copies since it's release in 2007. Garen is also set to showcase some of his new tunes at the Kiqstart Music/Bandit Productions Party at SXSW on March 19th, 2009 at 12:30PM. Kill the Alarm will be co-headlining the Fillmore at Irving Plaza on March 28th, 2009. Tickets are on sale now at LiveNation.com and the band is scheduled to hit the stage at 8:30 PM. https://www.killthealarm.com https://www.myspace.com/killthealarm
