LONDON, UK (Massive Attack Fans Website) - Massive Attack have been forced to postpone the first leg of their world tour after band member 3D's arrest in connection with child porn allegations. The dance group have cancelled dates in Wellington and Auckland, New Zealand, but hope to make it to Australia by the end of the week. 3D, real name Robert Del Naja, says he does not want to leave the UK until he is in the clear. The band's promoter told The Sun: "It is with deep regret that Massive Attack have been forced to reschedule the performances. Robert Del Naja feels unable to travel outside the UK until his name is cleared of the allegations that have been recently made against him. As Del Naja anticipates a positive outcome of these matters in the near future, he fully expects to be able to travel to Australia at the end of the week and to commence Massive Attack's world tour in Melbourne on March 11. Robert wholeheartedly apologises to Massive Attack's fans in New Zealand and sincerely hopes people understand the impossible position in which he has been placed." Del Naja was arrested in Bristol last week as part of the Operation Ore crackdown on internet child pornography. The star, who denies the claims, was questioned for six hours before being released on bail.
