LOS ANGELES, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Luck Media & Marketing) - On Friday, March 20, when
David Kirton (www.davidkirton.com) takes the stage at the South By Southwest
Music Stimulus Party, he's not only going to be performing 'Green Camouflage,' the infectious award winning hit single from his album Time For Change-he and his band will also be wearing it!
The popular Barbadian singer-songwriter recently joined with Love Fatigues (www.lovefatigues.com), an exciting new clothing company that offers a colorful line of sexy, colorful camouflage tops with hidden images for men and women. The company's founding mission is captured by their branding tag: 'Changing the Way You See Camouflage Forever.'
Spearheading a musical movement whose vibe is purely Southern Caribbean but blissfully outside the typical reggae box, Kirton will be playing on a slate with other top independent artists at The Parish, which is located in the midst of Austin's hip and very happening 6th Street.
Reps from Love Fatigues will be there in full promotional swing, giving out free promotional T-shirts, hats, stickers, et al, all of which are designed, like the 'Green Camouflage' video, to promote a more peaceful world and create an army not of war but love.
Dan Johnson, co-founder of the New York based Love Fatigues, says, 'While the title of the song obviously fits in well with our products, we also connect with the message David is portraying in his music. His words are about a peace march and, in line with our philosophy, show another way for people to view camouflage. Traditionally, people think of the military and the killing of our enemies, but we have the opposite vision and are eager to change these perceptions." Kirton was happy to be partnering with Love Fatigues. "When people relate positively and reach out to me because of my songs it reminds me why I'm doing this and gives me fuel to stay on the road! I look forward to wearing some great camouflage clothing at SXSW."
Kirton won the title of Reggae Artist of the Year in 2008 and 2009, and has won a total of four Barbados Music Awards, including song and video for 'Green Camouflage,' a true reggae anthem embodying the best of the old rhythms and new expressions, which can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PyNroAyxYA.
