NEW YORK (DMX Fans Website) - DMX is in California shooting a new movie, Never Die Alone, and he has again expressed his plan to retire as a recording artist following the summer release of his next studio album, It's Not A Game.

The rapper told MTV, "That's the truth. It's my last album. I'm going into the church. I wanna take some time off - you know, read my Bible and just get into the Word more."

DMX continued, "I got kids, and one of my children is at that stage where you have to be around. He's 8 months, and I don't wanna be a stranger to my children. That's more important to me than this."
DMX has plenty to keep him busy outside of recording. His production company, Bloodline Films, is producing his latest film project, which he is also starring in. The rapper has also launched his own label, Bloodline Records, through Def Jam Records.

The first Bloodline Records release was the Cradle 2 The Grave soundtrack, which has sold more than 170,000 copies in the two weeks since its release. The movie Cradle 2 The Grave, which stars DMX and Jet Li, has made $27 million in its first two weeks in theaters.

DMX has also signed several artists to Bloodline, including Bazaar Royale, Big Stan, and Kashmir, who will look to the superstar rapper for guidance as they embark on their recording careers.
