NEW YORK (SPV Records) - The very name Judas Priest conjures immediate respect from heavy metal fans worldwide. True heavy metal evolved from the groundbreaking work of Judas Priest 30 years ago. The double CD 'Live in London' is testimony to the band's staggering legacy. The 25-song 'Live in London' double CD will be released on SPV Records on April 8, 2003. It's a companion to the identically titled, best-selling DVD from last year, but the double CD has several special features. Vocalist Ripper Owens, lead guitarist Glenn Tipton, lead guitarist K.K. Downing, bass guitarist Ian Hill and drummer Scott Travis recorded 'Live in London' at a special concert at Brixton Academy in London on December 19, 2001. The double CD contains additional songs, therefore offering a more complete account of the show. Judas Priest cranked out new songs and the classics at the Brixton Academy, but the band also performed many rarely played cuts, making 'Live in London' a career-spanning treat for fans. 'Live in London' is packaged in a deluxe slipcase, and excerpts from the DVD are included as a CD Extra track. 'Live in London' simply offers further proof of the pulverizing power of the mighty Judas Priest.
