NEW YORK (Metallica Fans Website) - It's official. Former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted has joined Ozzy Osbourne's band. Newsted will accompany Ozzy on this summer's Ozzfest tour.
This means Ozzy and Metallica have essentially traded bass players. Osbourne's previous bass player left to fill an empty spot in Metallica.

When Newsted left Metallica he joined Voivod. So it's no surprise then that Voivod is rumoured to be replacing TRUSTcompany on the Ozzfest bill. TRUSTcompany was slated to play the main stage, but is staying in the studio instead.
