BURBANK, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Curb Records) - South Africa's Just Jinjer has something to celebrate stateside with their first Curb Records release: a three song EP now available on all major digital services.
Lead vocalist, Ard Matthews, expressed the band's excitement, "The release of our EP through Curb Records is not only part of what we envisioned for our lives, it's more, because we are actually part of a family business that has been dominating the record scene for many years. We never dreamed that such hospitality could exist within the music business but it does at Curb and we could not be happier with the platform we now have to get our music heard around the world!!"
Formed in 1996, Just Jinjer, comprised of Ard Matthews, Brent Harris, Denholm Harding and Sandy Chila, has earned a worldwide reputation for their amazing live performances. In 2008, Curb Records gave the band a home in the U.S. and hired Chila as producer of their debut album. Chila enjoyed working with the guys so much, he joined the group.
The debut EP contains the band's current single Can I Have More along with two additional cuts (Time of Your Life and Home) from their forthcoming CD scheduled to be released later this year.
Just Jinjer's All Comes Round, holds the title as the biggest selling rock album in South African history. After the tremendous success of All Comes Around, the band focused their efforts on touring extensively within their home country and abroad with acts such as U2, Crash Test Dummies, Toto, Elvis Costello and co-headlined with Hootie and the Blowfish, Skunk Anansie, Stevie Wonder, Spice Girls, Chaka Khan and many more.
The band plans to begin touring in the U.S. later this year.
