NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Johnny Cash Official Website) - Johnny Cash remains in stable condition at Nashville's Baptist Hospital, but longtime manager Lou Robin says the singer-songwriter is expected to be released this weekend.

In a report on Cash's official Web site, Robin noted that the Country Music Hall of Fame member is doing well but added that Cash remains susceptible to pneumonia and that he will likely go through periods of hospitalization as a precaution.

Robin also indicated that Cash is planning to record a new album. Cash will be honored for his five decades of musical contributions during the CMT Flameworthy 2003 Video Music Awards airing live Monday.
