NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ By
Christina Kotsamanidis/ Atlantic Records) - Fueled By Ramen/Photo Finish/The Party Scene recording group The Friday Night Boys have revealed details of their eagerly awaited full-length debut. "OFF THE DEEP END" arrives in stores and at all online retailers on June 9th and is available for pre-order now at https://store.fueledbyramen.com.
"Permanent Heartbreak" - the premiere track from "OFF THE DEEP END" - has just debuted on the Fairfax, Virginia-based punk pop combo's popular MySpace page, located at www.myspace.com/thefridaynightboys.
The Friday Night Boys will herald the album's release with a nearly non-stop tour schedule. The band is currently wrapping up a stint supporting Sing It Loud on their "Guys Guys Guys" tour (see itinerary below). The Friday Night Boys will then join forces with Forever The Sickest Kids, beginning May 5th at Portland, Maine's The Station and continuing through the month. May 2nd will see the group rocking The Bamboozle 2009, the annual extravaganza held at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey and an upcoming tour alongside Hey Monday is slated to kick off June 10th at The Club House in Phoenix, AZ.
Produced by Emanuel Kiriakou (Jesse McCartney, David Archuleta), "OFF THE DEEP END" shows The Friday Night Boys to be more than just the raucous pop rock outfit suggested by their earlier work. The album shows a remarkable breadth of ambition, spanning instantly accessible power ballads such as "She's Finding Me Out" and energetic pop-punk rockers like "Suicide Sunday" to dance-floor anthems including "Stupid Loveletter"(co-produced by Benny Blanco) and everything in between.
"I don't really worry about where we fit in or how people want to categorize our music," says frontman Andrew Goldstein. "I love songs that are catchy and fun to listen to and that's how I can relate to music."
The Friday Night Boys made a spectacular debut last year with their self-released EP, "THE SKETCH PROCESS." The band followed it up last October with "THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID," released by Fueled By Ramen in partnership with Photo Finish Records and Alex Gaskarth of All Time Low's new imprint, The Party Scene. The five-track EP was highlighted by "Chasing A Rock Star," which The Friday Night Boys had previously performed live on MTV's "Total Request Live's On Your Radar" segment for unsigned bands. MTV continues to show its support, recently including The Friday Night Boys in its '2009 Rock Rookies' feature.
The Friday Night Boys have spent much of their time together on the road, touring on their own and alongside such like-minded bands as All Time Low, Hit The Lights, Mayday Parade, A Rocket To The Moon, Automatic Loveletter, and A Cursive Memory.
