NEW YORK (Evanescence Official Website) - Armed with a debut album that's been riding in the Top 10, Goth-rock outfit Evanescence takes to the road this spring for a series of headlining club dates and festival appearances.

Titled "Fallen," the Arkansas-based quartet's inaugural effort hit stores in early March and debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 album chart. Now in its fourth week of release, the set sits at No. 9.

Propelling sales of "Fallen" is the hit single "Bring Me to Life," which recently topped Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart. The cut features guest vocals from 12 Stones singer Paul McCoy, whose group shares its label - Wind-Up Records - with Evanescence.

"Bring Me to Life" first turned up on the "Daredevil" soundtrack, which also features the "Fallen" track "My Immortal. The "Bring Me to Life" music video is streaming at Evanescence's website.

Twenty-year-old singer Amy Lee and guitarist Ben Moody formed Evanescence in the late '90s. Guitarist John LeCompt and drummer Rocky Gray round out the group.
According to Lee - who is the band's primary lyricist - the group hopes to send a message to its fans by way of its first album.
"The point of this whole record and band is to let people know that they're not alone in dealing with bad feelings or pain or anything that they go through," she said in a statement. "That's life and that's human. They're not alone, and we're going through it, too."
