June 2009 Playboy Covergirl America Olivo Inks Solo Recording Deal With Pop/Dance Indie Label Dauman Music

LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Bobbi Cowan Public Relations) - You don't have to wait till July 4 to start singing "America The Beautiful"-she's already here and is about to hit the dance charts!

Fast growing independent label Dauman Music is excited to announce the signing of multi-media sensation and June 2009 Playboy Magazine cover girl America Olivo (www.americaolivo.com) to an exclusive recording contract.

The versatile Los Angeles-born performer, who was recently seen in Michael Bay's recent Friday the 13th remake and stars in the upcoming movie Bitch Slap, is set to release her debut dance single "Deja vu" in June.

The track from Olivo's upcoming full length first solo album was penned by Olivo and will be released in four unique versions created by some of today's top remixers: Rod Carillo and Dave Matthias (Rihanna), DJ Riddler (Kelly Clarkson, Mariah Carey), Jeff Barringer (Beyonce, Saint Etienne) and Stereo Martini.

The single and album will be released on Dauman Music and distributed by Federal Distribution in association with the Universal Music Group.

Label CEO Jason Dauman says, "Besides being an accomplished actress and an incredibly sexy presence in film and television, America now brings her extraordinary talents as a musician, composer and singer to the forefront. There are a lot of sexy actresses who attempt to have careers as recording artists, but she's the real deal. I was impressed by America from the moment I was introduced to her and heard her voice, but the kicker for me was finding out that her accomplishments include a degree as a mezzo-soprano from Julliard School of Music. How many of today's performers have this kind of background?

"I'm very much looking forward to a long term creative relationship with America. She is truly a multi-dimensional artist."

About "Deja vu," Dauman adds, "It's a young, hip East Coast sounding dance record, a light and refreshing summer song with an infectious, hypnotic chorus."

Following her graduation from Julliard, Olivo-whose name is pronounced "A-mer-ee-ka"-toured the world with Soluna, her all-Hispanic band that was signed to Dreamworks Records. In 2004, the group shot a pilot for a sitcom about their lives for UPN that never aired.

Since then Olivo has focused on building her successful acting career, which has included roles in Neighbor, The Last Resort, Iron Man, Transformers 2, Circle, How I Met Your Mother, Jake In Progress, Cuts and House, M.D. She has also had a recurring role on General Hospital.

Launched in 2005 and inking its worldwide distribution deal with Universal in late 2007, Dauman Music's first release, Stephani Krise's "Tell it to the Moon," written by Diane Warren and re-mixed by Ralphi Rosario, became one of the Top-10 most played songs of the year on XM Satellite Radio's BPM Charts.

Dauman Music has since become a constant presence on the Billboard Club charts with close to 30 chart singles in 4 years.
In 2006, 2007 and 2008, Dauman was able to place 3 different artists in the Billboard Top 50 Club Charts on the same week, representing a whopping 6 % of the Dance Chart!

Some of the highlights include: Henri's Top 10 single "Some Girls"; Tiffany's return to the charts with "Higher" and "Just Another Day"; Erin Stevenson's "Sweat"; Chicago based rockers The Knockhoppers' re-make of Paul McCartney's "Goodnight Tonight"; TV/film actress Carmen Perez's first single "Emergency"; Jenn Frederick's "I Should Have Been Blond," remixed by Dave Aude (U2, Beyonce, Pussycat Dolls); and new recordings by Tony Award nominated artist Daphne Ruben-Vega, soul singer T. Coles; Hot Milwaukee-born- singer/songwriter Ryan Sallis, who has recorded a song by Dr. Luke; and Alyson Stoner (who starred in Camp Rock with The Jonas Brothers).

Expanding beyond its dance music base, Dauman Music released the recent soundtrack to Alice Upside Down featuring Stoner and Lukas Grabeel of High School Musical and Milk.

"The solution to any artist advancement is the right song," Dauman says. "I look to help bring out that special excitement that comes from a well written and well performed song. It sounds like a simple process, but sometimes it's not. I'm always searching for uniqueness, originality and a special identity. America Olivo is a one of a kind artist who embodies all of these great qualities."
