NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Raven Recording) - Gabrielle Roth has been called "the high priestess of trance", "rave goddess", "aural harlot", "rock 'n' roll shaman" and "simply, the only American woman creating authentic ambient-tribal music."

JHOOM is the 17th album she, along with her husband and co-producer Robert Ansell, have released over the past 25 years with their ensemble, Gabrielle Roth &The Mirrors. It is a smoking collection of tripped-out tribal rhythms that send you into a state of trance ecstasy. JHOOM is a hypnotic blend of drums, bass, strings and female chants, an adrenaline rush and a whirl of electrifying tribal grooves that will awaken the spiritual hunger within you, while keeping your feet in constant motion.

Under Gabrielle's musical direction, the Mirrors assembled for this project include the following artists, with their performing and recording affiliations:

Allison Cornell (viola, vocals): Shania Twain, Joe Jackson, Angelique Kidjo, Tracey Chapman, Pat Benatar, Ronnie Spector. Allison released her solo album, Pretty Colored Lights, last year.

Chloe Goodchild (vocals): Coleman Barks, Angelo Badalamenti, Jane Campion, Eve Ensler. Chloe has released her solo albums, Devi and Sura, through Raven Recording.

Tony Levin (bass): Peter Gabriel, King Crimson. Paul Simon, Gary Burton, James Taylor, Herbie Mann, Goro Noguchi, Judy Collins, Joe Yamanaka, Carly Simon, Peter Frampton, Anderson/Bruford/Wakeman/Howe, Tim Finn, Richie Sambora, and Claudio Baglioni.

Sanga of the Valley (percussion): Baba Olatunji, Mickey Hart, The Grateful Dead, Carlos Santana

Robert Ansell - as usual, just chugging along the bottom

James Guerrero (percussion): De Sol

Jamey Haddad (percussion): Paul Winter Consort, Paul Simon, Yo Yo Ma, Nancy Wilson

Henry Jimenez (synth): La Cocoband, Milly Quesada, Manny Manuel

Harvey Jones (synthesizer): Carly Simon, Chris Botti, Donna Lewis, Robbie Dupree. Harvey recently released a Sex & Sorrow album, Joyous World

Marc Lendfers (percussion): Robert Moorman, GRUMPYHEAD. Marc has recently released his own album entitled "Travels"

David Rosenberg (percussion): Chaka Khan, Bob Dylan, Kenny Loggins, The Commodores.
