New York (Top40 Charts/ Interscope Records) - Britain's hottest newcomers White Lies will launch an assault on America, hitting the road with Kings of Leon for a fall tour that begins in Minneapolis on September 28th and continues through mid-October.

Fresh off a European support tour with Coldplay, The West London-based band, who have been nominated for a 2009 MOJO Award for "Best Breakthrough Artist," will also make the rounds of all the major summer festivals, including Rock Am Ring on June 6th, Isle of Wight on June 13th, Glastonbury on June 26th, 27th, and 28th, Werchter on July 3rd, Roskilde on July 5th, T in the Park on July 11th, Oxygen on July 12th, Fuji on July 24th, Benicassim on July 19th, V Fest on August 9th, Leeds on August 28th, and Reading on August 29th. In the U.S., the band will appear at Lollapalooza on August 7th and at the Austin City Limits Festival on October 4th. They will also perform two headlining shows, including one at New York City's Webster Hall on September 25th. Please see below for details.

White Lies, (vocalist/guitarist Harry McVeigh, bassist Charles Cave, and drummer Jack Lawrence-Brown) are touring in support of their debut album To Lose My Life, which entered the UK album chart at No. 1 in January, making the band the first act in 2009 to do so.
White Lies have received glowing reviews from such UK tastemakers as NME ("The Dark Music never sounded so luminous"), The Fly ("everything about White Lies is tight, ambitious, and deliciously dark"), The Sunday Times ("the best 1980s synth sounds since, well, the 1980s"), and The Guardian ("the sound of archly constructed doom being wrung dry") thanks to To Lose My Life and a handful of buzz singles, such as "Unfinished Business," "Death," "Farewell to the Fairground," and the album's title track.
To Lose My Life was released in the U.S. by Geffen Records on March 17th, 2009, and is currently available for purchase on iTunes.
