New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ MTV) - MTV Tr3s, the most widely distributed TV network dedicated to today's bicultural Latino youth, celebrates the success of its programming and music partnership with chart topping Latin duo Wisin y Yandel. Working closely with Universal Music Latino/Machete Records, MTV Tr3s developed an aggressive music and programming strategy that provided Wisin y Yandel fans with an expansive array of on-air and online multiplatform offerings - creating extensive visibility that helped propel their new album "La Revolucion" to a No 1 debut on Billboard's Top Latin Albums Chart and No 7 on the Billboard 200. This marks the strongest Latin album debut of the last two years. Also, the new Wisin y Yandel video "Abusadora" became the No 1 streamed video on Thursday, June 4, 2009 on MTV.com, charting alongside such artists as Eminem and Lady Gaga.

MTV Tr3s provided Wisin y Yandel's fans the ultimate on-line and on-air showcase including:

- "MTV Tr3s Live" - The network's hit concert series featuring Wisin y Yandel.

- "YoYo: Wisin y Yandel" - Wisin y Yandel introduced viewers to their favorite urban artists.

- "Unscripted: Wisin y Yandel la Historia Continua" - The series gave viewers a behind-the-scenes, intimate look at Wisin y Yandel's tour in Venezuela with 50 Cent and at home in Puerto Rico.

- "Artist Speaking Tr3s Campaign" - The network's image promo campaign, which captured the band's humorous and rebellious sides.

- "Entertainment as a Second Language" - MTV Tr3s announced exclusive performance and tour dates

On Sunday, May 24, the MTV Tr3s' Wisin y Yandel Weekend ratings spiked with young adults P18-24 (+124%), P12-34 (+31%) and teens (+14%) when compared to 2009 YTD Average Sunday 7PM-10PM.

Online, Wisin y Yandel guest blogged for MTV Tr3s.com's gossip site Blogamole for the five weeks leading up to the release of "La Revolucion." Visitors to MTVTr3s.com had access to exclusive video and photo content and got a first look at dates for the upcoming national tour. The MTV Tr3s site reached new record highs across the board in May, up +20% versus April and up +161% Year over year. Video streams were the highest to date.

Partnership Across All MTV Platforms

In support of the MTV Tr3s campaign around the artists, MTV2, MTV HITS, MTV JAMS and MTVU all aired the video "Mujeres in the Club" featuring 50 Cent. That multi-channel support has been extended even further with this week's video premiere of "Abusadora."

With images of Wisin y Yandel currently gracing the shades of the MTV Times square studio, the relationship between the artists and the network will continue as MTV Tr3s signs on as the exclusive media sponsor of Wisin y Yandel's upcoming U.S. tour.
