New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ StubHub) - StubHub, the world's largest ticket marketplace, announced today that it has teamed up with Jersey Boys; the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning international hit musical; to establish the first official Fan to Fan Ticket Marketplace for a Broadway musical. The new venture will encourage fans to visit StubHub when seats are no longer available at the box office. Similarly, if a fan has a ticket they cannot use for an upcoming performance, they will be encouraged to offer that ticket to other Jersey Boys fans via StubHub's safe and secure ticket exchange platform. No show tickets will be sold directly through StubHub, rather the marketplace will serve as the preferred destination for secondary sales. This unique partnership is the first of its kind for a Broadway production and includes all North American Jersey Boys productions, including both open-ended and touring engagements.

StubHub and Jersey Boys will also collaborate to offer special VIP packages through eBay 'Giving Works,' with all proceeds benefiting Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS. The contents of the packages will vary based on production and market. A sample package may include VIP tickets to see Jersey Boys, one nights' luxury hotel accommodation, dinner for two before the show, autographed merchandise and a meet-and-greet with cast members.

'Not only is this an exciting first for StubHub, but it signals a significant change of mind on Broadway. Jersey Boys is poised to pair one of the most popular theater productions in America with the most popular secondary destination for tickets in the world,' said Chuck La Vallee, Head of Music and Entertainment Business Development at StubHub. 'We look forward to bringing increased ticketing options to fans of Jersey Boys across America and Canada.'

The venture will include an aggressive marketing campaign that will see StubHub and the Jersey Boys cross-promoting the most sold-out show on Broadway through a variety of media. New interactive StubHub seat maps have also been developed exclusively for the Jersey Boys productions on Broadway and in Chicago and Las Vegas, providing buyers the most specific purchase experience possible in the marketplace.

'This new relationship with StubHub expands the opportunities for fans and first time audience members to experience Jersey Boys live on stage,' said Jersey Boys producer Michael David. 'Our box office frequently does not have seats for a ticket buyer's preferred performance. Now, StubHub can offer a safe opportunity for online transactions between the ticket buyer and the person who cannot use their previously purchased ticket.'

Aligning with Jersey Boys completes a significant final step in StubHub's affiliation with every major segment of the live entertainment industry. Since 2000, the company has worked closely with top flight organizations in professional and collegiate sports and music. Teams such as the Chicago Bears, New York Yankees and the University of Southern California actively endorse the company to season ticket holders, and prominent recording artists like Madonna have also partnered with StubHub for her North American Tour in 2008. Now one of Broadway's most popular running musicals has pioneered a relationship for the theater industry. Each relationship has empowered fans of the respective organization to safely and conveniently buy or sell tickets from each other through a recommended and trusted online marketplace.
