LONDON, UK (MTV) - The MTV Europe Music Awards are to be held in Scotland.
They will take place at Western Harbour in Leith near Edinburgh on November 6.

A 6,000-capacity venue will be built specially for the ceremony on the waterfront at Leith - in celebration of the event's 10th anniversary.

A spokesman for MTV said: "Our viewing figures show that MTV is Scotland's favourite music channel and we wanted to make the event an extra special thank you for the support fans here have shown us over the years.
"With that in mind, the event itself will be the spectacular culmination of a whole series of MTV events to take place across the country, as well as in and around Edinburgh, designed to celebrate the very best in music and showcase local talent as much as possible.
We want to give as many people as we can a taste of the MTV experience at first hand."
