New York (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Catch the GRAMMY-winning jazz musician in a cameo in the Michael Mann-directed film 'Public Enemies,' singing "Bye Bye Blackbird", opening nationwide July 1. Krall's rendition of the jazz classic will also appear on the soundtrack for the movie, which stars Johnny Depp, Marion Cotillard and Christian Bale in the story of bank robber John Dillinger

*On June 18th, Diana Krall was the sole performer at a fundraising event at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, DC. for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee with President Obama, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other top political figures in attendance. The joint committee raised $3 million.

*Diana Krall's 'Quiet Nights' world tour is a not-to-be-missed summer attraction as she "keeps an audience on the edge of their seats" (Buffalo News, 6.11.09). Only two weeks into the 44-date US leg, critics say Krall is "exhibiting an understated emotional depth" (Boston Herald, 6.15.09) adding, "Krall gets a lot of attention for her voice - a sublime instrument that doesn't so much lead songs as it bleeds flawlessly into the arrangements - but her piano playing was as much of an attraction." Her stage banter is another highlight with "stories as entertaining and charming as they were goofy." (Boston Herald, 6.15.09) One critic declared, "Her new album, "Quiet Nights," provided some of the most compelling material for her [live] set." (Boston Herald, 6.15.09)
