KahBang Indie Music Festival

LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ West Market Productions) - The first annual KAHBANG Music and Arts festival presented by West Market Productions will feature national music acts such as Matt and Kim, Ra Ra Riot, Ida Maria, April Smith, Royal Bangs, The Gay Blades, and The Killing Moon in order to usher in a new era of Indiem music in Bangor Maine. The festival is set to start at 12 noon on August 15th, and will feature 15 acts in total, with both national and local followings, across two stages along the Bangor waterfront.

The brainchild of several of Bangor's prodigal sons, KAHBANG was conceived in the spring of 2009 in an effort to expose Bangor to cutting edge talent and professional production, while simultaneously creating a must-see festival appealing to Maine as a whole and beyond. Gathering inspiration from American festival legends such as Bonnaroo, Coachella, and Cornerstone, KAHBANG will be the Northeast's answer to the proven success of independent music festivals. KAHBANG will provide a unique experience unparalleled in the Northeast; an annual, high capacity, multi-genre amalgamation of style, expression, and the essence of what is to come in the world of music.

Accompanying the music will be artists, merchants, and food and beverage providers. The Headlining performance (Matt and Kim) is scheduled to commence at 9pm.
