CHICAGO, IL. (Top40 Charts/ Western Publicity) - The 2009 Diesel:U:Music winners,The Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt! and HEARTSREVOLUTION will perform live July 30th at NYC's Webster Hall alongside an all-star line-up: Theophilus London with a surprise guest; Passion Pit; Cobra Starship with a surprise guest; hip-hop's newest all star Drake; and Grammy winning The Roots with a special guest collaboration. Stay tuned as these mystery guests are unveiled week-by-week leading up to the performance. New York's tour stop follows the Berlin show which took place on July 3rd. Next stop will be Tokyo on August 7th: stay tuned through www.dieselumusic.com! Since 2001, Diesel has been seeking and promoting new music talent. A competition headed by an international jury, and offering incredible publicity support and worldwide exposure has rocketed many bands to stardom, including Mylo, Diplo and The Cool Kids among others.

In 2009, Diesel brought together an international jury composed of the likes of Sony Music Publishing Manager Atsushi Inoue, head of Universal Music Rock/Urban label in Germany Daniel Lieberberg, and Spin magazine senior editor Ellen Carpenter to name just a few who voted from thousands of musicians who uploaded their music to dieselumusic.com. The Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt! vanquished The Noisettes, Modernaire and Sean Bonds to receive the coveted invitation to join the tour alongside HeartsRevolution.

Take a peek at the judge's process in narrowing down to the most exciting bands: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqUGKZy6Fjs&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcult.diesel.com%2Fdum.html&feature=player_embedded

Diesel:U:Music winners HEARTSREVOLUTION and The Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt! will now tour the world from July to December across the world's greatest cities - including Berlin, Paris, Madrid, London, Tokyo and New York - to promote their music alongside established local music names. The concerts will broadcast to millions online by Vice and VBS TV, who will be covering the shows worldwide.

The entire tour will be covered by Vice Magazine and filmed by VBS TV, with a documentary of the tour to follow. Previous winners of the Diesel: U:Music Tour include Diplo, The Fiery Furnaces and the Cool Kids among others.

The Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt! is a never ending romp of a dance party; looped pianos and saxes race on top of crappy synths and ill beats and something like twenty vocal takes (like seriously rivaling Broken Social Scene-status) are mixed in there somewhere. What makes The Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt! so special are severely catchy, dance-y pop songs that actually have lyrical content. These are songs about friends, romance and everything else that rules in life, presented in a comic, yet somehow deathly serious, way.

Live, The Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt! become a whole new beast altogether. Neil is relentless, running through crowds, scaling things, doing acrobatics, all this while wearing a giant Ultimate Protection Suit, consisting of 100 stuffed animals sewn to a jumpsuit, turning him into some kind of childhood head of the bed gone wrong. His instrument: lights. While singing and dancing, Neil is hard at work orchestrating an elaborate light show. Old lamps, giant inflatable storks and cats turn on and off. Strobes, disco balls and every other kitschy item any college student has ever had in their dorm are flashing: think Daft Punk with a $16 budget. Meanwhile, the Grrrrl Police, an elite force of enthusiastic singers and dancers (the same blessed souls who lend their voices to The Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt! recordings) parade around dressed as giant pizzas, Christmas trees, houses and every other thing that might make humans feel warm. Together, Neil, the Grrrrl Police and the audience = create something rare and spectacular: a really genuinely fun concert. There is no such thing as not singing, there is no such thing as not dancing, those things exist in a world where there is such a thing as "cool" and "not cool." This is the Terror Pigeon's world: there is only "awesome."

The Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt! released a mini-disc as part of Luaka Bop's 3 Inches of Music series, they'll have a new album in 2010. Hear them here: https://www.myspace.com/theterrorpigeondancerevolt
