New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Serious Machines) - "The Fletchers" is the first solo project by Gary Kaplan. In the early 90's he was a member of band "Dandelion Fire", and later on played in the band "Rotator Cuff". While in the band Rotator Cuff, their music video was featured on MTV's 120 minutes, and the music was played on "House of Style", "The Real World" and "Unfiltered". Gary also played at dozens of large showcases and venues in NYC, NJ and Los Angelas California.

Debut CD "Bright Blue Lights" by The Fletchers contains 12 songs. Each song was written by Gary Kaplan. He credits his influences for his American and British Indie Rock sound. His influences include The Rolling Stones, The Who ,Pink Floyd, Wire, Husker Du, REM, Blur, Oasis, Foo Fighters, The Stone Roses, and others.

Gary Kaplan has been playing guitar since age 13, and has always been a huge music fan and audiophile. Since then, his musical experiences have allowed for growth and development into creating the professional quality music of his most recent band. The music of The Fletchers is being marketed for licensing for film and television. Gary says "We played our last gig in April, and I have taken the past few months to write and arrange about a half dozen new songs." The band is taking time this Summer to record their next album. They will begin recording in July and hope to have up to 10 tracks ready for mixing this fall. The band will play on September 26, 2009 at the Court Tavern in New Brunswick, NJ.

Phil Rainone of Jersey Beat says "The Fletchers have made an album that is confident, emotionally accessible, and encouraging....staggeringly original and memorable music...The Fletchers write convincing songs like 'Fatty', 'Disorder', and 'Paris' that are filled with melody, energy, and intelligence." The album is released by Serious Machines, a record label owned by Gary Kaplan. "Bright Blue Lights" also features quality artwork on the CD cover and insert.

The album 'Bright Blue Lights' is now available online at CDBaby.com, iTunes, plus dozens of other music sites. The album can also be purchased from their web site. For more information about The Fletchers visit
