Singer Vanessa Carlton Launches The Donate Life Concert Series With A Live Performance On August 5, 2009

LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Casey & Sayre) - Three-time Grammy nominee Vanessa Carlton kicks-off the free Donate Life Concert Series, promoted by 104.3 MyFM and presented by Palm and the new Palm Pre�, when she performs at The Americana at Brand on Wednesday, August 5 at 8 p.m.

The talented singer garnered a loyal fan base with mega-hits 'A Thousand Miles' and 'Ordinary Day' from her debut album 'Be Not Nobody,' for which she received Grammy nominations for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist.
Carlton is admired as much for her lyrical voice as for her soulful piano playing that accompanies many of her songs. Popular 104.3 MyFM DJ Lisa Foxx will serve as emcee. The evening will begin with a presentation by Rick Caruso to the three recipients of the first Spirit of American Youth Scholarships.

In addition, throughout the month of August, guests will find a Palm Pre Experience Center at The Americana at Brand offering visitors a unique, hands-on demonstration of the new Palm Pre phone, including quick one-on-one tutorials; larger groups can also observe demonstrations on several LCD screens.
