(Launch) - Ronnie James Dio, who fronted the band Dio and was a part of Black Sabbath and Rainbow, is assembling "Hear N Aid 2," the sequel to 1985's successful benefit album and benefit "Hear N Aid," which raised funds to feed the starving in Ethiopia. With "Hear N Aid 2," Dio is calling attention to the exploitation of America's children. He's been raising funds for Children of the Night, which has been helping troubled and abused children since the 1980s. Dio is readying "Throwaway Children," based on a poem by an abused kid, for the project. Pre-production on the project, which is expected to include special guests, is scheduled to start later this year. "Hear N Aid" 's "Stars" was the metal version of "We Are The World," and it featured Motley Crue's Vince Neil and Mick Mars, Quiet Riot's Kevin Dubrow, Queensryche's Geoff Tate and Judas Priest's Rob Halford, among others.
