New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Visit IFC.com today to download "Low Rising" from The Swell Season's new album 'Strict Joy' out October 27 on Anti-. One of their more dramatic songs "Low Rising" opens the album with a lover's plea to revive a crumbling relationship - a blue-eyed soul-shouter full of passion and desperation. Listen to the track here: https://bit.ly/IFCSwellSeason

On September 8 "Low Rising" will be available for sale as the album's digital single on iTunes.

'Strict Joy' is the follow up to The Swell Season's beloved, surprise hit 2007 film and gold-certified soundtrack 'Once.' The duo, Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, generated a wave of acclaim during the 2008 awards season including two Grammy nominations and an Oscar win for Best Original Song, for their hit single "Falling Slowly."
