LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Arigo Recordings) - The Bay Area has delivered such musical greats as Creedence Clearwater, Keyshia Cole, The Doobie Brothers, E-40, Too $hort and many more. Next up in line is R&B songstress Simone Taylor. Growing up in the Oakland area in her household as the youngest of three with a father who played professional baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates, life was interesting for Simone Taylor to say the least.

Simone Taylor was destined to be a musical genius from a young age, being able to pick out string sections and the fundamentals of music such as picking out what a trumpet sounds like. Now part owner of her own record label Arigo Recordings, Simone Taylor is on a mission to restore the bay area musical legacy.

With her debut album in stores fall of 2010 titled 'Under the Knife', Simone Taylor is a multi-media talented singer and actress who plans to let all of her those talents shine bright throughout the album which is deemed as a concept project.

The album's first single 'I Belong to You' is produced by well known Rihanna affiliate and Canadian producer Justin Gray and is described as an uplifting and hopeful song. Using her own trials and tribulations as the inspiration for the recording, Simone Taylor describes the single as something to get you through the day, and has even had fans approach her to tell her that the song saved them from hurting themselves and inspired them to make better things out of their lives - inspirational indeed.

'Under the Knife' will be released in the fall of 2010 through Arigo Recordings alongside its online and media distribution deal. Stay tuned to www.myspace.com/simonetaylormusic and www.arigorecordings.com for the latest.
