New York (Top40 Charts/ Universal Motown) - Veterans of three straight summers rocking Vans Warped Tour with their fresh and insanely hummable blend of classic-lined power-pop, punk energy and space-age electronics, Universal Motown breakthrough band FOREVER THE SICKEST KIDS is announcing their first headline tour, "The Cheap Date Tour," with dates set for late October through early December.
MySpace Music is a major co-sponsor of the tour, and will create ticket purchase links (once on sale) embedded on the band's MySpace.com profile page at https://myspace.com/foreverthesickestkids. Taco Bell is also a co-sponsor, as part of the company's "Feed the Beat" program. Substream Music Press and clothing specialist Credentials are also major sponsors. Throughout the tour, exclusive video updates from the road will be promoted on MySpace, as well as on feedthebeat.com. Following FOREVER THE SICKEST KIDS's first Warped Tour go-round - in just three weeks - the band's daily song plays nearly doubled on their MySpace.com profile page.
"The Cheap Date Tour' coincides nation-wide with the first release of the six-track album 'FRIDAY' arriving on November 17, 2009 , the first of three mini albums to be released in succession in 2010, the group's innovative approach to following up their successful Universal Motown album debut UNDERDOG ALMA MATER. Their 2008 debut album was released in a deluxe version in July 2009.
The Dallas-based six-man group (Austin Bello, bass & vocals; Kyle Burns, drums; Jonathan Cook, vocals; Kent Garrison, keyboards; Marc Stewart, guitar and Caleb Turman, guitar & vocals) was formed in 2006, and within four months, had recorded an EP, Television Off, Party On, written many of the songs for their eventual full-length debut, and been booked for the indie stage of Warped Tour.
